Setting goals for an event is IMPERATIVE.  Budgets, Venues, Catering, and Entertainment etc. are all important factors in producing a successful event.  These are preliminary topics that need to be discussed with your client.  Make sure you have a clear understanding of what the client wants when preparing to meet these specific goals.
